Although the jackpot prize from Friday’s draw has not yet been claimed, it has been confirmed that the winning ticket was purchased from a retailer in Almería, Andalusia.
In addition to the jackpot winner, another Spanish ticket holder struck it lucky in the second tier as, along with five other ticket holders from across the participating countries, they matched all five main numbers and one Lucky Star to win £179,315 (€258,237). In the third tier, seven players took home prizes of £51,232 (€73,782) by matching all five main numbers while in the fourth tier, 118 players matched four main numbers and both Lucky Stars to win £1,519 (€2,188) each.
Other players managed to secure prizes worth between £2.70 (€4) for matching just two main numbers up to £117 (€169) for matching four main numbers and one Lucky Star. One UK EuroMillions ticket holder scooped the Millionaire Raffle prize of £1 million by matching the code LBJ742888. Tomorrow night marks the first EuroMillions draw of April 2014 and, as a result of Friday’s jackpot win, gives players across Europe the chance to win a brand new £12 million (€15 million) jackpot. There were three EuroMillions jackpot wins in March so it will be interesting to see if April can beat that number and create even more jackpot winners.
