The main numbers drawn in the EuroMillions game on Tuesday were 13, 34, 37, 47 and 49, and the Lucky Star numbers were 08 and 09. There were six tickets that matched five main numbers and one of the Lucky Star numbers, and that is as close as one can get to winning the EuroMillions jackpot without actually doing so. Although the owners of those tickets will have been very disappointed by falling just one number short, they each won a consolation prize of €373,759 (£266,506), which will hopefully be enough to soften the blow. Seven tickets matched the five main numbers without either Lucky Star to win a third-tier consolation prize of €106,788 (£76,145) each.
As regular readers will already be aware, every EuroMillions entry that is played gives its owner a 1 in 13 chance of winning a prize of some sort. There were more than 3.35 million prize-winners in all on Tuesday, and with an even bigger jackpot up for grabs this Friday it is almost certain that there will be even more prize-winners. Of course, players are free to buy themselves multiple tickets in an effort to increase their chances of winning a prize, and anyone playing multiple tickets could potentially win multiple prizes!
The number of consecutive rollovers notched up by the EuroMillions game in the current series of games is 11, so we are keen to see if that number will increase to 12 or whether the €156 million jackpot will be landed this Friday. Play EuroMillions online if you want to give yourself a shot at winning big and good luck!
