The EuroMillions numbers drawn were 5, 7, 26, 36 and 39, with Lucky Stars 2 and 10. The biggest winners of the night were the four ticket holders – two from the UK, one from France and one from Belgium – who matched five main numbers plus one Lucky Star to pocket £277,779 (€427,598) each. Another nine players won £28,754 (€44,263) after matching five main numbers, while the other prizes won ranged from £2.70 (€4.10) for matching two main numbers to £2,301 (€3,542) for matching four main numbers plus two Lucky Stars.

Spurred on by their big winners, the UK had the best night of all the participating countries on the main game as 827,227 players split £4.1 million. France also had a great night as 565,026 ticket holders won a combined €4.2 million, while 586,818 Spanish players shared €3.8 million.
