The EuroMillions results for Friday 28 December were 17, 24, 26, 27 and 49, with the numbers 03 and 05 being selected as the Lucky Stars. 16 tickets were able to match all five main numbers, and five of those tickets matched one Lucky Star in addition to secure a second-tier prize of €351,110 (£244,247) each. The remaining 11 tickets had to settle for a third-tier prize of €53,199 (£37,007) each, which illustrates just how much a Lucky Star number can be worth when you already have five main numbers matched.
60 tickets won €4,877 (£3,392) each by matching four main numbers and both Lucky Stars, whilst 1,100 tickets matched four main numbers and one Lucky Star to win €232 (£161) each. The prize for matching four main numbers only on Friday was €130 (£90) per winner, and there were 1,964 tickets that succeeded in doing that. The total number of prizes landed in the last game of 2012 was 2,995,441, and one UK player won £1,000,000 by matching the Millionaire Raffle number GYT455882.
As on Christmas Day, UK players will have another chance to win one of 25 prizes worth £1,000,000 in a special Millionaire Raffle game this Tuesday, but even without that, the double-rollover jackpot of €36 million would be sufficient enough reason to get involved. Our EuroMillions Statistics page tells us that the most overdue main numbers are 46, 12, 13, 39 and 34, whilst the most overdue Lucky Star numbers are 09 and 01. We like the fact that the number 13 is in that batch of main numbers, and it will be interesting to see if it helps anyone to win the first jackpot of 2013!
