One lucky Austrian ticket holder bagged the £43.5 million (€54.3 million) EuroMillions jackpot on Tuesday 19th August, which reset the jackpot amount for Friday’s draw to a neat £11 million (€15 million). However, if a ticket holder had indeed scooped the jackpot then they would have been rewarded with a prize of £12 million (€15 million) on the night.
The winning EuroMillions numbers for August 22nd 2014 were 29, 17, 49, 35 and 4 with Lucky Stars 1 and 2. Last night’s draw wasn’t a total loss as over two million ticket holders picked some great cash prizes. There were five players who took home £192,324 (€268,532) each for matching five main numbers and one Lucky Star while another 12 ticket holders have woken up £26,711 (€37,296) richer after matching five main numbers.
An additional 30 ticket holders snapped up £5,342 (€7,459) each when they matched four main numbers and both Lucky Stars. The remaining players won amounts worth between £3.00 (€4.20) for matching just two main numbers and £151.10 (€210.90) for matching four main numbers and one Lucky Star. As always, one UK player walked away with a £1 million prize when the code on their ticket matched the Millionaire Raffle code drawn on the night.
