EuroMillions Results
The numbers drawn on Friday 29th December were 4, 8, 22, 23 and 48, with Lucky Stars 1 and 12. The jackpot had rolled over for the previous two draws, since a Swiss player won CHF157 million (€135.3 million/£119.8 million) on Tuesday 19th December, and EuroMillions fans from across the continent went in search of a boost ahead of the New Year.
Apart from the jackpot, the prizes won ranged from £2.30 (€3.80) for matching two main numbers to £97,151 (€159,959) for matching five main numbers. Check out the EuroMillions Results page for a full prize breakdown. There were also exciting prizes given away in associated games such as the UK Millionaire Maker, which guaranteed ten prizes of £1 million rather than the usual two.
Irish Success
Ireland has now had 12 jackpot winners since EuroMillions was launched in 2004, including three in the past year. A Dublin work syndicate claimed €88.5 million last January, while a Co Mayo winner pocketed €28.9 million on Friday 7th July 2017.
Irish National Lottery officials have confirmed that the latest winning ticket was a quick pick purchased in the Dublin area, and the lucky player now has 90 days to come forward and claim their prize. A lottery spokesperson said: "We are now appealing to players in the Dublin region who bought a Euromillions ticket last week to check their numbers to see if they are eligible to claim a cool €38,906,715."
First Draw of 2018
The EuroMillions jackpot will now reset to £15 million (€17 million) for the first draw of 2018 tonight, giving players from London to Lisbon the chance to get the New Year off to the best possible start. If you want to try and become the second jackpot winner in a row, you can join a EuroMillions syndicate now or visit an authorised retailer in a participating country. Good luck!
