We are of course referring to the jackpot cap of €190 million which effectively prevents the EuroMillions game from continuing for too long without creating a clear winner (see this page for more details). If the €168 million estimated jackpot for this Tuesday proves accurate and it isn’t won, we could be just one or two more draws away from hitting that cap for the second time in less than four months! Of course, that might not happen because the odds of hitting the jackpot are constant, so someone could just as easily win the €168 million jackpot this Tuesday, but it’s a tantalising possibility for sure.
Although no player won the jackpot last Friday, nine tickets matched all five of the main numbers (14, 21, 22, 28 and 47) and one of the Lucky Stars (04 or 05) to win a hefty consolation prize of €336,582 (£240,159) each. 14 tickets won €72,125 (£51,463) each by matching the five main numbers without either Lucky Star, and another 138 tickets matched four main numbers and both Lucky Stars to win €3,659 (£2,610) each.
There were more than 5.18 million prizes won in the EuroMillions game last Friday, and in the UK the biggest winner was the person who matched the Millionaire Raffle number PRL293442 to land a prize worth £1,000,000. Will someone fare even better this Tuesday by winning the EuroMillions jackpot itself? Only time will tell, but if you want to be in with a chance you’ll need to click here to buy your tickets. Enjoy the game and good luck!
