Jackpot Rolls on for EuroMillions Players

The EuroMillions jackpot rolled for the second draw in a row on Friday 4 May, which means that the rollover sequence that started with Nicolas Sarkozy at the head of the French government will eventually pay out with François Hollande in his place. That won’t have any influence on the lottery itself, of course, but we are sure there will be plenty of players in France who will be very keen to mark the political transition by winning the double-rollover jackpot this Tuesday!

The EuroMillions results on Friday were 03, 26, 39, 40 and 41, with the numbers 01 and 02 being selected as the Lucky Stars. Five tickets matched all five main numbers and one of the Lucky Stars to win the highest consolation prize of €329,062 (£237,041) each, and four other tickets won €137,109 (£98,767) each by matching five main numbers only.

42 tickets matched four main numbers and both Lucky Stars to win €6,529 (£4,703) each, and 860 tickets matched four main numbers and just one Lucky Star to win €279 (£200) each. If the difference between the payout values at those two prize levels (and between the second- and third-tier prize levels) doesn’t illustrate the potential value of Lucky Star numbers, we don’t know what could!

The jackpot that eluded players on Friday had a final value of €25.96 million (£21.08 million) so the double-rollover jackpot in the midweek EuroMillions game this Tuesday 8 May is expected to be worth around €32 million (around £26 million). One of the most overdue main numbers appeared in Friday’s draw, and that was the main number 40, so the most overdue main numbers are now 21, 02, 42, 38 and 14, with the numbers 04 and 07 being most overdue to appear as Lucky Stars.
