The last time a Swiss ticket holder emerged victorious from a EuroMillions draw was back in August 2013 when a lucky player matched all seven numbers to take home the £80 million (€93 million) jackpot. The latest jackpot win sees Switzerland join the UK in third position on the EuroMillions jackpot winners list for 2014 with both countries having one jackpot win each. In second position is France with two jackpot wins while leading the pack is Spain with an impressive four jackpot wins.
While only one player struck it lucky to take home the entire jackpot in Friday’s draw, there were over 2.5 million winners across the remaining prize tiers. Two UK ticket holders and another from Spain secured a win of £373,910 (€524,657) each after matching all five main numbers and one Lucky Star. A further eight players matched all five main numbers to take home £46,738 (€65,582) each and 66 ticket holders secured a win of £2,832 (€3,974) by matching four main numbers and both Lucky Stars.
With such a multitude of winners, we advise players to check their tickets from Friday’s draw immediately to see if they have won a prize. The winning numbers, along with the full prize breakdown, can be found on the EuroMillions Results page.
As a result of there being a jackpot winner in Friday’s draw, the EuroMillions top prize now resets to £12 million (€15 million) for tomorrow night’s draw.
