Festive EuroMillions Draws
EuroMillions has never offered such a large prize in the final month of the year, but festive draws have traditionally been kind for participants. A Portuguese ticket holder snapped up €61.6 million (£51.8 million) on 20th December last year, while a Spanish player won €83.2 million (£60.6 million) on 18th December in 2015. There were also winners in four of the last five draws of 2014.
The current jackpot has been created by a run of 12 rollovers, stretching back to Friday 3rd November when a syndicate of six co-workers from Neath Port Talbot Hospital won £25.4 million. Dubbed the Catering Girls, they had various ideas for how to spend their winnings, including new houses, cars and a trip to Las Vegas.
Anyone who lands a decent prize this week will be able to splash the cash in time for Christmas, perhaps jetting off on a winter holiday or just purchasing some fantastic presents for loved ones. A big sum of money could also set up a winner for years, maybe even generations, giving everyone in the family financial freedom.
Big EuroMillions Winners
It has been a fine year for big winners, with a Belgian player banking €153.8 million (£134.8 million) on Friday 2nd June, and then the record for the largest EuroMillions jackpot of all time being equalled on Friday 6th October when a Spanish ticket holder scooped €190 million (£170.8 million).
If you would like to become the third winner of a nine-figure jackpot in 2017, you can get involved now by either choosing numbers online or visiting an authorised retailer in one of the participating countries. Good luck!
