Draw Summary
After 20 consecutive rollovers, the EuroMillions jackpot remained at its maximum €190 million (£168 million) for Tuesday 1st October. It was all set up for a blockbuster night, with players looking to win the joint-largest prize ever to have been offered in the 15-year history of the game.
There were more than 47 million entries in the draw but once again there were no jackpot winners. Seven players went close, matching five main numbers and one Lucky Star to bank £1.7 million (€2.2 million) each. Five of those ticket holders were from the UK, with the other two coming from Spain. The rollover meant that the jackpot would stay at its cap for the following draw on Friday 4th October, ahead of a potential Must Be Won draw on Tuesday 8th October.
The jackpot cap was reached on Tuesday 24th September but continued to roll, sparking even more excitement across Europe for the next draw on Friday 27th September. As nobody won the jackpot on that night either, the 1st October draw was the third in a row at the cap. The top prize had never stayed at the cap for so long before - it had always previously been won in the first couple of draws at €190 million.
