Draw Summary
EuroMillions draw number 1,238, which took place on 2nd August, boasted a healthy jackpot of £43 million - the result of three consecutive rollovers since the record Spanish jackpot win only two weeks prior.
As water levels rose in the UK in the lead-up to the previous draw on Tuesday 30th July, so too did ticket sales, and over 340,000 UK players won a prize in that draw. Though there was no jackpot win in any of the participating countries, two UK tickets each won a £34,468.40 prize by matching all five main numbers. One player from France and one player from Switzerland matched all five main numbers and one Lucky Star to win the largest prizes paid out in the draw: €338,605.90 and CHF562,770.35 respectively.
Since the excitement of the special UK Millionaire Maker draw on 19th July, where 20 new UK millionaires were guaranteed, the raffle draw has been business as usual. Though the winner of the 30th July raffle hasn’t yet come forward, one of the 20 £1 million prizes from draw 1,234 was revealed to have been claimed by Alan and Claire Gray - a Tranent couple who are reportedly already planning a trip to Dubai!
