Draw Summary
The biggest lottery jackpot anywhere in the world could be found on EuroMillions on Friday 13th September, with £143 million (€162 million) up for grabs in draw number 1,250. It was one of the largest prizes to have ever been seen in the 15-year history of the game, and the expectation was that millions more players than usual would take part in an effort to land the incredible payout on offer.
Going into the draw, the jackpot had rolled over 15 times in a row since a Spanish player won €107 million (£96 million) on 19th July. EuroMillions fans from across the continent had turned their gaze towards Paris for each passing draw without seeing the top prize fall, but hopes were high that some lucky ticket holders would enjoy the best fortune of their lives on Friday the 13th.
It turned out to be another draw without a jackpot winner, although more than 3.6 million tickets did win prizes. Four players even matched five main numbers plus on Lucky Star to pocket £333,217 (€519,278) each. The four tickets were sold in Portugal (x1), Spain (x1) and the UK (x2).
