French Player Wins €88 Million EuroMillions Jackpot

Last night, the EuroMillions jackpot was won for the first time in 2024. The grand prize went to a player from France who matched all the winning numbers and won €87.9 million.

After six consecutive draws without a winner, the jackpot was finally won. The winning numbers for the Tuesday draw held on 16th January 2024 were 10, 18, 21, 33, 45, with the Lucky Stars 8 and 12. Three players were very close to winning the jackpot as they matched the five main numbers and only one of the Lucky Stars. They still got a substantial prize worth €201,336.70. One of them was from the UK, one from France, and another from Belgium. There were over 1.6 million winners in total and you could also be one of them, so make sure you check your ticket as you may have matched a few numbers yourself.

This is the 125th time the EuroMillions jackpot goes to France, the second country with the most grand prize winners. The first place is occupied by the UK with 126 winners.
