EuroDreams
The EuroMillions operators have launched a new lottery, EuroDreams, aimed at players who prefer to win annuity-style lottery prizes. It is an alternative type of jackpot game, offering €20,000 a month for 30 years rather than the huge one-off prizes offered in EuroMillions. EuroDreams is available in some of the EuroMillions countries, namely Ireland, Austria, Belgium, France, Luxembourg, Portugal, Spain and Switzerland.
How to Play
In order to enter EuroDreams, you must pick six main numbers between 1 and 40, plus one Dream Number from 1 to 5.
The EuroDreams lottery draws take place twice weekly, on Monday and Thursday nights, differentiating it from the main EuroMillions game. The drawings are held at approximately 20:00 UK time (21:00 local time in Paris, France).
The cost of an entry is €2.50.

Prizes
If you match six main numbers and the Dream Number, you could win the top prize of €20,000 a month for 30 years. Matching six main numbers without the Dream Number will bring you €2,000 a month for five years.
In total, there are six prize tiers and you can win €2.50 just by matching two numbers. The maximum amount for the first prize tier is €21.6 million per draw, meaning a maximum of three winners. In case there are more than three winners, the total amount will be divided by the number of winners in that prize tier. Each winner will receive their winnings in a one-time payment. For the second prize category, the maximum prize fund is €1.44 million per draw. This corresponds to a maximum of 12 winners. If more than 12 winners match six numbers, the amount will be divided equally between them. They will receive the prize as a single payment.

*45.21% of the overall prize fund is reserved for winners of the top two prizes. The remaining prize fund is then allocated between the other categories.
What Are Annuity Lotteries?
Annuity lotteries typically offer the top prize (and occasionally the 2nd tier prize) as a monthly payout over a number of years, rather than receiving the full lump sum amount in one go.
One such example is Set For Life which runs in the UK and offers a top prize of £10,000 every month for 30 years, and a second-tier prize of £10,000 every month for one year.
Prizes in the lower tiers usually are not annuitised and are one-off payments.
