Double Rollover for Tuesday EuroMillions

For the first time since the midweek draw was launched on 10 May, the Tuesday EuroMillions game this week will offer a double rollover jackpot which is estimated to be worth €33 million (around £29 million). This should result in more players choosing to play the EuroMillions game on both Tuesday and Friday, and with tickets costing exactly the same as they do in a non-rollover draw, getting involved in both draws makes a lot of sense.

The EuroMillions results for Friday 27 May were 09, 17, 25, 28 and 49, with 08 and 09 being drawn as the Lucky Stars. Eight players matched all five main numbers and one of the two Lucky Stars to win a second-tier prize of €231,417 (£149,598) each. 15 players won €41,141 (£26,595) each by matching five main numbers with no Lucky Star, and 80 players matched four main numbers and both Lucky Stars to win €3,857 (£2,493) each.

Friday’s EuroMillions game proved to be particular popular, which isn’t surprising when you consider that there was a rollover jackpot on offer, and in total more than 3.2 million prizes were won. The winning number in the Millionaire Raffle game, which applies only to EuroMillions players in the UK, was JVD327912, making somebody £1 million richer than they were before the draw.

What is interesting about this selection is that the next draw takes place on Tuesday 31 May, so anyone who plays the numbers associated with the day and the month will automatically be on 31 and 05. Add 11 for the year – either as a main number or as a Lucky Star – and if those numbers were to come up on Tuesday then it really would be a happy coincidence.
