Irish Players Can Cash In On Special Prize
The Ireland Only Raffle is a supplementary game that takes place alongside every main EuroMillions draw, and any player that buys a EuroMillions ticket in Ireland is automatically entered into the raffle. Usually, ten prizes of €5,000 are given away in the Ireland Only Raffle, but a top prize of €1 million will also be up for grabs in the special version due to take place on Friday.
How Does It Work?
If you buy a EuroMillions ticket in Ireland for the draw on Friday 6th July, you don’t need to do anything else; you will automatically be entered into the Ireland Only Raffle. If you buy a physical ticket from a retailer, you’ll see one or more raffle codes made up of four letters and five numbers printed underneath your lottery numbers. You get a unique raffle code for each line of EuroMillions numbers you buy, so the more lines you purchase, the more codes you will have entered into the raffle.
On Friday, 10 raffle codes will drawn alongside the main EuroMillions draw. If you have one of the winning codes on your ticket, you win €5,000. Your winning code will then be entered into a further draw with the other raffle winners to determine who will walk away with an additional €1 million prize. Only valid codes that can be matched to a ticket are entered into the raffle, so all the prizes are guaranteed to be given away on the night.
Important Points to Remember
Many lottery players are often unaware of the supplementary draws and raffles that take place alongside EuroMillions. We’ll say it again: you will automatically be entered into the Ireland Only Raffle if you play EuroMillions in Ireland this Friday. Make sure to check your raffle code to see if you’ve won, as well as your main EuroMillions numbers. You might be surprised to hear that millions of euros in prize money goes unclaimed every year because players don’t check their tickets fully.
Don’t be one of those to miss out. You can use our automatic raffle code checker to see if you’ve won, saving you the hassle of looking through all the winning codes to find out if you’ve matched one. It only takes a second to check.
Ireland Only Raffle prizes are claimed in the same way that you would claim a prize in the main EuroMillions draw. If you win one of the €5,000 raffle prizes, you can claim your prize from one of the lottery claim centres situated throughout Ireland. If you’re lucky enough to land the €1 million prize, you will need to travel to the headquarters of the Irish Lottery in Dublin to claim your winnings in person. You have 90 days from the date of the draw to claim prizes.
There’s no better time to play EuroMillions, as you will have two chances to become a millionaire. The jackpot in the main draw has rolled over three times and currently stands at €44 million. You could follow in the footsteps of the syndicate from Co Tipperary that won €17 million last month, or become the next winner of €1 million in Friday’s special Ireland Only raffle.
