Across the continent there were four entrants, including one from the UK, who matched five main numbers plus one Lucky Star on EuroMillions to each bag £295,347 (€388,048), while another six ticket holders snapped up €86,233 each after matching five main numbers. The remaining prizes won on the night ranged from £2.90 (€3.80) for matching two main numbers to £2,140 (€2,811) for matching four main numbers plus two Lucky Stars. Spurred on by their jackpot success, the UK had the best night of all the countries taking part by a distance as £39.3 million was split between 830,302 players, not even including the Millionaire Maker winners. France also had a good evening as 508,463 participants won a combined €3.1 million. Spain, who had five players in the Match 5 tier, took €3.4 million in total as 507,027 ticket holders won prizes.
