What is EuroMillions HotPicks?
EuroMillions HotPicks works in a similar way to the UK National Lottery’s current Lotto HotPicks game. Rather than necessarily matching the whole winning line in the main EuroMillions draw, players choose how many numbers they would like to guess, but they need to match all of those selected to win, with a sliding scale of prizes on offer.
EuroMillions HotPicks will use only the main EuroMillions numbers, disregarding the Lucky Stars, and players will win prizes ranging from £10 for picking and matching one number, to £1 million for choosing all five main numbers correctly.
When Are the EuroMillions HotPicks Draws?
EuroMillions HotPicks uses the numbers from the main EuroMillions draws on Tuesday and Friday nights. Tickets will cost £1.50 for the new game, £1 cheaper than EuroMillions and, although you cannot win the same gigantic jackpots as in the Europe-wide lottery, a top prize of £1 million is likely to prove very tempting.
When Do Tickets Go on Sale?
You will be able to buy EuroMillions HotPicks tickets from Thursday 25th January 2018, with the first draw taking place the next day. As with EuroMillions, you will be able to opt in to either or both weekly draws and to play for up to four weeks in advance.
Other Lottery Changes
The introduction of EuroMillions HotPicks comes alongside a host of other changes implemented by the UK National Lottery. Included in the revamp are pledges to make it easier for players to buy tickets for games from self-service checkouts in supermarkets.
EuroMillions returns tonight, with a jackpot worth £53 million and you can choose your numbers online right now, or visit a retailer to buy physical tickets.
