EuroMillions Jackpot Rockets Up To £87 Million

In the week that marks the 50th anniversary of the Apollo 11 moon landing, EuroMillions players can dream of winning a jackpot that is out of this world. The top prize has soared to £87 million, setting up one of the most exciting draws of the year.

The jackpot has now rolled over for nine consecutive draws, most recently on Friday 12th July when an £81.2 million prize proved to be just out of reach for players from all nine participating nations.

The UK came closest to snagging the elusive jackpot, with three tickets from the country matching five main numbers and one Lucky Star. No participants from the rest of Europe won in this second tier.

It has been a remarkable 2019 so far for the UK, with four jackpot winners in total, including the player who landed £123 million just last month. They waited over a week before coming forward to claim their money, and they did so anonymously, meaning that no details were revealed about where the ticket was sold or whether it belonged to an individual or a syndicate.

Earlier in the year, Frances and Patrick Connolly from Northern Ireland pocketed £114 million, while Ade Goodchild banked £71 million and an anonymous player won £38 million. Anyone in the UK lucky enough to win this week can decide whether to stay private or go public, but must claim their prize within 180 days.

If you win, you would instantly be catapulted to a level of wealth above many A-list celebrities. Daniel Radcliffe was estimated to be worth £87 million in a recent list of the 30 richest UK celebrities under 30, with Adele and Ed Sheeran the only stars making more money than him.

With £87 million in your bank account, you could think about splashing out on one of the UK’s most expensive homes, buying a football team or even throwing a party in space to celebrate in style.

20 Millionaires on Friday

Another thrilling draw beckons on Friday night, with 20 UK millionaires guaranteed on 19th July. The special event will see 20 winning Millionaire Maker codes announced instead of the usual one, making the odds of winning far better than in a regular draw.

The chances of winning a Millionaire Maker prize depend entirely on how many tickets are sold (and how many winning codes are selected), but only codes that have been generated for the draw are entered into the raffle so the prizes are guaranteed to be won.

You just have to make sure to check your Millionaire Maker codes after the draw as well as your main numbers, as some prizes do go unclaimed when players forget to look at their tickets or discard them too quickly.

There is no additional cost to enter the raffle as it is included in the price of a ticket. You receive one code for every line of numbers you play, and you can see if you are a winner straight away by looking at the latest EuroMillions Results.
