EuroMillions Results for Tuesday 2nd February 2016

The night’s winning EuroMillions numbers were 6, 9, 10, 21 and 36 with Lucky Stars 2 and 6. As well as the jackpot winner, there were five players – three from the UK and two from Spain – who matched five main numbers plus one Lucky Star to scoop £167,169 (€224,091) each. The other prizes won ranged between £2.90 (€3.80) for matching two main numbers and £39,802 (€53,355) for matching five main numbers. Spurred on by their jackpot winner, Spain had the best night out of all the countries taking part as 404,275 ticket holders earned a combined €18 million. It was also a great evening for UK players as £2.5 million was split 428,885 ways, while France actually picked up the most prizes as 476,965 participants claimed just over €3 million.

The jackpot had also been won on Friday 29th January, when one player from France and another from Ireland shared a staggering top prize of €132.3 million to both instantly become €66.1 million richer. It was the first time in 2016 that the top prize had been snapped up and fuelled belief around Europe that they too might land a life-changing windfall.
