EuroMillions Rolls into July

The EuroMillions jackpot rolled over for an eleventh time on Tuesday 28 June, which means that players will now be hoping to land the mammoth prize on Friday 1 July. The jackpot will be worth an estimated €152 million (around £136 million), which is more than ten times as much as the starting jackpot value. That gives players at least ten times as much value for money whenever they buy themselves a ticket, so it is unsurprising that many players will be planning on buying multiple tickets to make the most of the situation.

The EuroMillions results in the draw on Tuesday 28 June were 15, 16, 30, 44 and 50, and the Lucky Star numbers were 02 and 03. Five players won a second-tier prize worth €403,697 (around £261,260) by matching the five main numbers and one Lucky Star. Nine other players won a third-tier prize worth €74,758 (around £48,381) each by matching five main numbers only.

51 players won €6,596 (around £4,268) each by matching four main numbers plus both Lucky Star numbers. More than 3.1 million smaller prizes were won by players matching fewer numbers, which is pretty impressive for a midweek lottery draw and reflects the surge in the quantity of tickets sold.

Now that the jackpot has broken the €150 million mark, even more players will choose to get involved in the draw for this Friday 1 July, and with every ticket having a 1 in 13 chance of winning a prize that might be a very good idea.
