The winning numbers, which didn’t make any player a jackpot winner on the night were 15, 16, 26, 30, 37, with the Lucky Stars 5 and 8. But 3,309,518 0ther players managed to match some numbers and win great prizes. Nine of them were very close to bagging the jackpot but they only matched five numbers and one Lucky Star.
Although last night was unlucky jackpot-wise, it is not that uncommon for the grand prize to not be won on a first try. Out of all the Superdraws held so far, the jackpot was won on the first night only on 14 occasions. The first prize rolled over at least once on 29 occasions. But for how long can it roll over? The jackpot cap is €250 million, meaning that the prize cannot go any higher than this amount. Once it reaches €250 million, it can roll over for four more draws. On the fifth capped draw, a Must Be Won draw will take place. In case no one wins the jackpot again, its amount will be equally shared between all the winners in the lower prize category (Match 5 + 1). Only three Must Be Won draws took place so far, with the most recent one having happened approximately five years ago, in October 2019.
Until a Must Be Won draw takes place, if it does, there’s still time to win the jackpot—and there’s a chance it could be won by you. With the UEFA Euro 2024 football tournament starting next week, why not enter the popular intra-European lottery as well? While your favourite team might not win (although we hope it does), you could still match some numbers and win a EuroMillions prize! Draws take place on Tuesdays and Fridays evenings at 21:00 CET and you can check the results shortly after that.
