13 Millionaires Guaranteed
The EuroMillions draw on 13th August will provide UK ticket holders with more chances to win than usual, with 13 prizes of £1 million up for grabs in the Millionaire Maker.
The Millionaire Maker game is only played in the UK, with the cost of entry included in the price of a EuroMillions ticket. It works like a raffle, guaranteeing that at least one player will become a millionaire in every draw.
When special draws take place, the number of prizes on offer is increased. The upcoming promotion has been scheduled to tie in with a date that is normally synonymous with bad luck, and is part of a wider campaign from the National Lottery to celebrate this year’s Olympics and Paralympics.
To win £1 million, the Millionaire Maker code on your ticket must match one of the winning codes randomly selected on the night. All four letters and all five numbers on your code must correspond exactly with the winning characters, in the same order.
Claiming Prizes
You can find out if you’re a winner by using the EuroMillions Checker. You just need to enter your raffle code and the Checker will let you know whether you’ve won or not.
It can be easy to overlook the Millionaire Maker results and just focus on the numbers from the main draw. In fact, six of the seven major EuroMillions prizes that are currently unclaimed in the UK are from the Millionaire Maker.
Remember that you have 180 days from the date of the draw to claim any UK National Lottery prize. A player from Lewisham in south east London recently missed a deadline of 28th July to pick up a £1 million prize they had won back in January. Go to the How to Claim page to find out what you need to do if you win a EuroMillions prize of any value.
Lucky Friday the 13th
This is not the first time that 13 EuroMillions millionaires have been guaranteed on Friday 13th. The National Lottery has staged similar events on several occasions since 2017 when it has fitted in with the calendar.
The great benefit of such a promotion is that it improves your odds of becoming a millionaire. The exact odds of winning in the Millionaire Maker always depend on how many tickets are sold, but with 13 prizes of £1 million instead of one there is a significantly better chance than normal.
You can play EuroMillions by visiting an authorised retailer or choosing numbers online, and keep up to date with the latest results after every draw.
