How to Enter
From the UK Millionaire Maker to My Million in France or the Spanish El Millón, every EuroMillions country has at least one associated draw. In most cases, participants are automatically entered into the supplementary draw at the moment when they play EuroMillions. An additional code is then displayed on their ticket. Visit the Special Draws page for a full list of these extra games and find out how to play each one.
Big Prizes
None of the supplementary draws offer prizes as large of the EuroMillions jackpot, but you can still win huge amounts of money which would set you and your family up financially. The UK, Spain, France and Portugal all give ticket holders the chance to become millionaires through their supplementary games, while there are also big prizes up for grabs in Ireland, Switzerland, Luxembourg, Austria and Belgium.
Better Odds
The advantage of these supplementary games is that the top prizes have better odds than the EuroMillions jackpot. The chances of winning the UK Millionaire Maker or My Million, for example, depend on how many players enter a specific draw. If there is a lower jackpot on the main game, or it if is a Tuesday rather than a Friday, there will usually be fewer tickets sold, and as such the chances of winning improve. When you combine the odds of winning a prize in a supplementary game with the odds of winning an award in the main game, the prospects of a big payday suddenly look much better.
Check Numbers
It is just as important to check your numbers for the supplementary game you have entered as it is to find out whether you have won a EuroMillions prize. Unfortunately, many players are so focused on the main draw that they forget to look at the associated results. A woman from Co Clare in Ireland last week admitted that she had been sitting on a ticket worth €500,000 for a month, and was eventually grateful to her friends and family for a crucial reminder to look up her EuroMillions Plus numbers.
She said in the Clare Champion: “I was in the car on 6th October when I heard that night’s EuroMillions jackpot was €190 million so I pulled into the nearest shop to buy a ticket. I heard the following day that the jackpot was won in Spain, so I didn’t even bother checking the results. I didn’t know anything about a €500,000 EuroMillions Plus prize.”
Time To Play
If you want to try and win a EuroMillions prize, either in the main game or one of the supplementary draws, you can get involved online or by visiting an authorised retailer in one of the participating countries. Good luck!
