Irish Ticket Holder Scoops £68.3 Million Jackpot

The EuroMillions rollover train finally pulled into the station on Friday when one Irish ticket holder scooped the £68.3 million (€86.7 million) top prize. The lucky punter has yet to come forward, but several Irish news sources have reported that more details about the big win will be released later on in the week. The winning EuroMillions numbers for Friday 19th September were 6, 8, 34, 38 and 48 with Lucky Stars 3 and 9.

The jackpot winner wasn’t the only happy EuroMillions player on Friday night, as over 2.7 million ticket holders picked up cash prizes of some kind. There were two players, neither of whom were from the UK, who matched five main numbers and one Lucky Star to win an astonishing €909,183 each. An additional 17 players snapped up £25,579 (€35,654) when they matched all five main numbers while 61 participants grabbed £3,564 (€4,968) each for matching four main numbers and both Lucky Stars.

The remaining players won amounts worth between £3.20 (€4.50) for matching two main numbers and £180.10 (€251.10) for matching four main numbers and one Lucky Star. The EuroMillions jackpot for Tuesday 23rd September has reset to the minimum value of £11 million (€15 million).
