Daniel did not believe his wife when she first called to tell him the news, as she had joked about having a big scratchcard win just a month ago. She had to send him a screenshot of the message to convince him, and ever since then he says it has been ‘crazy’. The happy couple are now busy making plans for the future, with a new home at the top of the list.

“We made lots of sacrifices and saved so hard for the deposit for this home so I’ll always be really proud that we managed to do that but it will be so nice to have a bigger place where the children don’t need to share a bedroom,” said Charlotte, who added that they would also look for investment property, an upgrade to her Ford Kuga, new golf clubs for Daniel and possibly a family holiday to Lapland over Christmas.
