Record EuroMillions Jackpot Goes to Austria

The winning numbers for the Friday 8th December draw were 17, 30, 42, 48, 50, with Lucky Stars 4 and 8. There were over 4 million winners in total across all nine participating countries, but only one of them managed to match all seven winning numbers. The grand prize went to a single ticket holder from Austria. No further information about the lucky winner or winners has been released at this time and we might never know their identity. This is because all participating countries allow their winners to remain anonymous if they do not wish to go public about their big win. According to Austria’s national lottery rules, the player or players will have three years from the date of the draw to claim their prize.

The EuroMillions jackpot is now the biggest win ever and surpassed the previous first place which was occupied by an anonymous UK player who won €230 million in July 2022. 

The EuroMillions jackpot has now been reset to its base amount of €17 million and the jackpot cap has been raised to €250 million. Although this was the last Superdraw of the year offering such a big starting amount, regular draws are still happening on Tuesday and Friday evenings, so you have two chances per week to become a millionaire.
