Enhanced Millionaire Maker
The extra prizes will come through the Millionaire Maker, which all UK players are entered into automatically at no extra cost.
The Millionaire Maker works like a raffle. You get one nine-digit code - consisting of letters and numbers - for every line you play in the main EuroMillions draw.
In regular draws, one winning code is selected at random from all the codes that have been entered into the raffle. If you match that code exactly, with all the digits in the same positions, you are rewarded with £1 million.
From time to time, enhanced draws are held when multiple Millionaire Maker codes are selected. The last one took place on 12th January, so the upcoming raffle on 26th April marks the first one since Allwyn replaced Camelot as the operator of the UK National Lottery.
Better Odds of Winning
The great advantage of these special draws is that they give you a significantly better chance of winning.
The odds of winning a Millionaire Maker prize are always entirely dependent on the number of tickets that are sold, which can vary a lot from draw to draw. Typically, more tickets are sold for Friday draws than Tuesday draws, while there is more interest when the jackpot is higher.
If there are 5 million tickets sold in the UK, for example, the odds of winning in a regular draw are 1 in 5 million. If 10 Millionaire Maker prizes are available, the odds would be 1 in 500,000.
Either way, your odds of winning the Millionaire Maker are always far better than your chances of landing the EuroMillions jackpot, which are 1 in 139,838,160.
It is also possible to win a EuroMillions prize and a Millionaire Maker prize on the same night.
You can use the EuroMIllions Checker to check your raffle code and numbers at the same time, and you might just discover that you are a big winner.
