Two Tickets Share EuroMillions Jackpot

Two tickets won the triple rollover jackpot in the EuroMillions game last Friday 15 January. One of the tickets was purchased in Britain and the other was purchased in France, and each one is now worth a staggering €29.71 million (around £26.15 million). The EuroMillions results which made this Anglo-French success possible were 11, 26, 29, 49 and 50 and numbers 04 and 07 were drawn as the all-important Lucky Stars.

This triple rollover jackpot is the first EuroMillions jackpot to be won in 2010, and it will transform the lives of the winners involved quite dramatically. Of course, it is possible that one or both of the tickets were bought by lottery syndicates, in which case the syndicate members would receive a smaller share of the spoils, but with each ticket being worth more than €29.71 million there would still be plenty to celebrate!

Although lottery headlines around the world will naturally focus on the two jackpot-winning tickets, there were plenty of other EuroMillions winners last Friday. 12 players matched the five main numbers and one of the Lucky Star numbers to win €317,258 (around £278,997) each, whilst 14 players matched the five main numbers only to win €77,171 (around £50,000) each. Another 157 players matched four main numbers and both Lucky Stars to win €4,915 (around £3,185) each.

The EuroMillions jackpot for the next draw on Friday 22 January has now been reset and will be worth at least €15 million (around £13 million). Our EuroMillions Statistics tell us that the main numbers most overdue to appear are 01, 03, 48, 02 and 10, and that the most overdue Lucky Star numbers are 06 and 01.
