The number eight is considered lucky in some cultures, and that was certainly the case for the owners of eight EuroMillions tickets that won €74,889 (£53,860) each by matching all five main numbers. 53 tickets matched four main numbers as well as both of the Lucky Stars to win a fourth-tier prize of €5,652 (£4,065) each. 1,079 tickets matched four main numbers and one Lucky Star number to win €242 (£174) each and all other winners landed smaller prizes of up to €119 (£86) each by matching fewer numbers. In the UK, one player won £1 million by matching the number QHJ184396 in the Millionaire Raffle game.
One of the Lucky Star numbers drawn on Friday had previously been flagged up as being most overdue to make an appearance, so anyone who included the number 11 as a Lucky Star will have been pleased to see it oblige. The most overdue Lucky Stars are now 06 and 01, whilst the most overdue main numbers are still 09, 41, 13, 47 and 30.
For players who like to follow the most often picked numbers, the main numbers to look out for (or consider including on your tickets if you are so inclined) are 50, 12, 04, 19 and 38, whilst the most often picked Lucky Stars are 03 and 05. Our EuroMillions Statistics page also identifies the most common pairs, triplets and much more, so do take a look at those if you fancy doing something a little different with your next entry.
With a double rollover jackpot of around €34 million to be won this Tuesday, it is likely that the midweek game will be even more popular than usual. Our advice, as always, is to enter your numbers early so that you don’t get scuppered by any last minute rush for tickets.
Enjoy the game and good luck!
