The winning numbers were 1, 21, 22, 43 and 48 with Lucky Stars 7 and 9. Three players from Europe matched five main numbers and one Lucky Star to win €460,759 each, while three other ticket holders, including one British participant, grabbed £121,729 (€153,586) after matching all five main numbers drawn.

More than two million other ticket holders won prizes worth between £3.60 (€4.60) for matching two main numbers and £4,564 (€5,759) for matching four main numbers and both Lucky Stars. The UK had by far and away the most prize winners on the night, with 566,328 players sharing in £3.3 million. Spain was in second place with 439,769 players splitting €3.8 million between them, while France was in third with 384,516 players snapping up a prize pool worth €2.7 million. In last place was Ireland, whose 45,858 prize winners shared €388,270.
