PlayThe winning numbers in the EuroMillions game on Friday 4 February were 02, 11, 24, 35 and 47, with the numbers 05 and 09 being selected at the Lucky Stars. Susan found out that they had matched all seven of these numbers on Saturday morning when she went on her PC to check her numbers online.
“I booted it up to check the numbers and thought… hang on a minute, my ticket looks exactly the same as that!” Susan said. “I dragged my husband out of the bathroom to take a look and then I dragged my eldest son out of bed too! We just couldn’t believe it!”
Both Susan and Lee have been unable to work for some time due to medical reasons, so winning the one-fifth share of the £24.3 million rollover jackpot in the first EuroMillions draw of this month has made a massive difference in their lives. As Susan explains:
“This money means everything to me and my family. My husband and I are both unable to work so money has always been tight and there have been some difficult times. Six weeks ago I decided to start playing the lottery again. Don’t ask me why, I was just sure we would win.”
