EuroMillions Jackpot Rises to Highest Amount in History

The largest EuroMillions jackpot of all time will be up for grabs on Friday night, after another rollover on Tuesday pushed it up to an estimated €243 million (approximately £202 million).

A prize of €220 million (£183 million) was on offer for anyone who could match all seven numbers in Tuesday’s draw, but the colossal nine-figure payout proved to be just out of reach. The winning numbers were 1, 3, 18, 33 and 36, with Lucky Stars 2 and 6. See all the Draw Details, including how many winners there were in each of the prize categories below the jackpot.

With strong ticket sales anticipated across Europe over the next few days, the jackpot for Friday’s draw is expected to go beyond the €240 million that currently ranks as the highest to have ever been won.

It has only taken a few rollovers to set up the record jackpot, following the first Superdraw of the year on Friday 7th March. The top prize was increased to €130 million (£109 million) for the Superdraw and has continued to climb quickly.

If nobody wins the €243 million jackpot on Friday, it will hit its limit of €250 million in the following draw. The jackpot will then be capped at that amount, and any additional funds that would usually go on top will instead be allocated to the Match 5 + 1 category. Go to the Jackpot Cap page for more information, including details on when a Must Be Won draw would have to take place.

Record Winners

Until the current jackpot is won, the record for the biggest win in EuroMillions history will continue to belong to the Austrian player who landed €240 million in December 2023. That win came a couple of draws after a special Superdraw had boosted the jackpot to €200 million - rather than the usual €130 million. The winner purchased their ticket online but no other information was ever disclosed about them.

The second-largest jackpot ever went to an anonymous UK player, who scooped €230 million (£195 million) in July 2022. Third on the list is one of the most remarkable winner stories - a young woman who actually bought her €230 million ticket in Tahiti, where EuroMillions is available as it is part of French Polynesia.

Head over to the Winners page to find out about the top ten. France and the UK have pocketed the lion’s share of the biggest prizes, but the new record could go to any of the participating countries.

Make sure you don’t miss out on the chance to win Friday’s enormous jackpot. Pick up a ticket from any authorised retailer or choose your numbers online.
